Richard Valdez Elected President of San Diego County Fair Board

Richard Valdez was elected by his fellow board members to the position of President of the 22^nd District Agricultural Association (DAA), San Diego County Fair Board of Directors.  California Governor Jerry Brown appointed Richard to an open seat on the 22^nd DAA board in October 2014, and reappointed him in January 2016.  The 22^nd DAA board consists of nine public members, serving four year terms.  The 22^nd DAA, a California agency, is one of 54 DAA’s in the state of California responsible for holding fairs, expositions and exhibitions for the purpose of exhibiting all of the industries and industrial enterprises, resources and products of every kind or nature, to enhance and stimulate county revenues.  The 22^nd DAA is also responsible for constructing, maintaining and operating the Del Mar fairgrounds.  The board of directors of the 22^nd DAA manages the affairs of the association.
