SLLBV In The NewsJeff Byer re-appointed to California State Bar’s Commission on Judicial Nominees Evaluation (JNE Commission). The JNE Commission is an agency of the State Bar created by statute for the express purpose of evaluating judicial candidates nominated by the Governor. The role of the JNE Commission, which consists of 34 attorney and public members, is to gather information and conduct a confidential evaluation of each judicial candidate. The JNE Commission reports its findings, in absolute confidence, to the Governor. Jeff was appointed to serve on the JNE Commission by the State Bar Board of Governors for annual terms in 2008, 2009 and 2010. |
